Laser Workshop Activities at the Laser Trends and Applications Institute, Beni Suef University
Under the kind patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, and His Excellency Professor Dr. Tarek Ali, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Postgraduate Research, and in the presence of His Excellency Professor Dr. Wafaa Rabie, Dean of the Institute, and the Vice Deans and Department Heads, the Laser Trends and Applications Institute hosted a diverse workshop on laser applications. The workshop took place from February 1 to 3, 2025.
The workshop featured lectures on the theory of basic systems for laser applications and laser applications in medical and biological fields, as well as optical communications sciences, both in space and through optical fibers. The workshop also featured a presentation of the Institute's latest scientific research, as well as unique demonstrations of work in the laser laboratories, which featured many of the participants' research ideas. On the practical level, the workshop featured laboratory experiments on optical entities, as well as advanced laser applications, such as the use of femtosecond lasers in other optical sciences, the new linear diffractometer laser for differential extraction of materials and detection of various elements, and laser applications in various microbiology and microbiology. Participants were introduced to the unique optical microscope and studied methods for preparing and culturing cells before exposing them to lasers of various wavelengths.
The workshop was characterized by great interaction from the attendees, as participants exchanged diverse discussion ideas, leading to the discussion of new directions toward promising research partnerships.
