Distinguished Participation of Dr. Walid Arafa at the Fulbright Conference 2025
Professor Dr. Walid Arafa, Professor of Parasitology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Beni Suef University, and Head of the Department of Biological Laser Applications at the Laser Institute for
Research and Applications, participated in the 2025 Fulbright Egypt Alumni Conference.
Dr. Walid is a Fulbright alumnus, having received a Fulbright grant in 2019, during which he conducted a research program at Texas A&M University in the United States. He returned to the same university during the 2023–2024 academic year to complete his postdoctoral research.
Dr. Walid's participation was part of the conference hosted by the Fulbright Commission, which was attended by a number of prominent figures, including Dr. Maggie Nassif, Executive Director of the Commission, and Mr. Robin Haroutunian, Minister Plenipotentiary for Public Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.
The conference featured plenary and parallel sessions with over 70 Fulbright alumni speakers, as well as a ceremony honoring the 2025 Fulbright graduates.
